Willem and Henriëtte are taking care of their autistic son Kees all his life. In this documentary, we follow the disengagement process between parents and son. Because of the symbiotic bond between mother and Kees, the question is whether they can still live without each other. Meanwhile, a fully furnished house is ready for Kees to live in. Will he be able to build an independent life without his parents?
