One foggy morning in an Eastern European city a mysterious man from Ukraine suddenly appears and enters the lives of rich residents of a bleak, walled-off housing complex as a masseur . Despite their wealth, each resident emits his own inner sadness and longing. Zhenia’s eyes penetrate their souls and his hands heal them. Who in the world is he?
Małgorzata Szumowska BODY (2015) co-wrote and directed this ambitious film with Michał Englert. The use of music is also noteworthy.
