TOVE

During the Second World War in Helsinki, Tove starts to write a story of “Moomintroll” to comfort herself. After the war, she rents a derelict and abandoned atelier, and she devotes herself to painting. She struggles with the conservative art world and her strict father who is also a well-known sculptor. Nevertheless, dizzying parties with young artists, a romance, and other experiences make Tove’s desire towards freedom stronger, while the Moomin story grows as well . And so her own path in the world starts to be forged.
